She has published peer-reviewed papers on subjects ranging from osteogenic differentiation to spinal fusion in high-impact journals such as Nature’s npj Regenerative Medicine, Osteoarthritis and Cartilage, and the Journal of Bone and Mineral Research. Dr. Shum developed and led several workshops and graduate-level classes on effective science communication, which has served her clients well in preparing abstracts, data presentations, and publications. Dr. Shum received her PhD in Translational Biomedical Sciences from the University of Rochester Medical Center.
